Dear Parents,

We are excited to announce a unique opportunity for your child to delve into the world of tournament chess! Our intensive chess training program, led by experienced coaches Ben Vinyard (USCF: 1858), Joe Lafornara (USCF: 1835), and Dragan Milosevic, is designed to prepare your child for their first experience in the Governor's Cup State Championship tournament on April 20th and 21st.

Chess is not just a game; it's a strategic and intellectual pursuit that fosters valuable life skills such as discipline, problem-solving abilities, and focus. Our carefully designed curriculum focuses on building vital tournament skills, including:

Tournament opening repertoire preparation
Tournament strategy and tactics
Introduction to endgames
A system to self-critically analyze and explore chess games to gain experience and grow as a chess player.
Beyond the pursuit of victory, these competitions offer an enriching environment of competition and camaraderie.

Your child will create cherished memories and make friends from all corners of the chess world. This immersive experience will propel their personal growth and enhance their passion for the game.

Classes will be held on Saturdays for Coach Dragan Milosevic's Governor's Cup Team at our Scottsdale location, Thursdays for Coach Ben Vinyard's Governor's Cup Team at our Tempe location, and Tuesdays for Coach Joe Lafornara's Governor's Cup Team at our Tempe location.
