The Road to Nationals program is a 10-week training course designed for committed tournament students who want to build a complete, tournament-ready game: openings, middlegames, endgames, psychology, strategy, and practical USCF play.
Training is led by Coach Paul Kanis (USCF 1975) and Coach Ben Vinyard (USCF 1859), and is offered in both Fall and Spring sessions.
Who Is This Program For?
- Rated tournament players or students actively playing in USCF events
- Students who are Knight level or above in PCC classes
- Players who have completed our past Supergroups or equivalent training
- Students preparing for major National Tournaments
Schedule (Fall & Spring)
- Days: Mondays & Wednesdays
- Time: 5:30–7:30 PM
- Length: 10 weeks (Fall and Spring sessions available)
- Price: $429 per session 15% off if you get both sessions
- Mondays: 2-hour lesson block covering openings, middlegames, endgames, and chess psychology
- Wednesdays: USCF-rated games (G/25 with 5-second delay) followed by full game review and feedback
- Students receive approximately 40 total hours of instruction, training games, and analysis each session.
