Start right, play light. We build an opening foundation with clear principles, model games, and a focused White repertoire (e.g., the Ponziani—7 moves deep with key sidelines), plus practical tools for facing common defenses.

Focus Areas

• Core opening principles: time, space, and king safety
• Typical plans & traps in scholastic play
• How to transition from opening to middlegame plans
• Targeted homework & puzzles to reinforce repertoire ideas

Dates

• Mondays: 1/12, 1/19*, 1/26, 2/2, 2/9
• Saturdays: 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14

*1/19 is MLK Day; we can adjust if needed based on family feedback.
